Pleasure Dome (PD) is seeking Board Members who are practicing media artists or cultural workers to collaboratively lead our organization. PD is an artist-run, non-profit presentation organization and publisher dedicated to experimental media. We are mandated to present artists who expand, fracture, and scrutinize the traditional cinematic spectacle, including those who use moving image technologies that are digital, interactive, or performative. Do you have qualifications in curation/programming, community engagement, marketing, publishing, fundraising, HR, or financial expertise? This is a great opportunity for media artists and cultural workers in the early stages of their career looking to gain experience or for someone wanting to offer existing expertise to support an arts organization. Board Members are expected to attend monthly meetings, undertake work collaboratively with our single staff person, and commit to serving a two-year term. We are seeking candidates available for a minimum of 4 – 6 hours a month.
Now is a great time to join as we are just about to embark on co-creating the programming for the 2021-2022 year. Plus, volunteering for PD is a great way to make connections and friendships in the media arts sector.

During COVID-19, all Pleasure Dome meetings and events are taking place remotely. Because of this, there is no fixed location requirement for participation and we invite anyone able to meet online to apply.
NB: Board members are volunteers and therefore cannot be financially compensated for their work, or exhibit with Pleasure Dome while serving their Board term.
