Part of Winter 2019

Pleasure Dome presents Obsessive Pop Tendencies, a curator-led interactive viewing party, Sat., March 30, at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre (12 Alexander St) at 7:00 pm. Obsessive Pop Tendencies explores how fandom crosses over into contemporary art practices; think shipping memes, screaming teen girls, daytime dramas, and a pregnant Harry Potter. Within the collectively-driven desires of fan communities and texts, the future is female, brimming with excessive attachments and pleasurable gestures and rewrites.
