Brooklyn artist Peter Burr presents a live television show from the future, a blend of theatrics, insane futuristic musings and interactive artwork featuring specially commissioned videos by such noted animators as James Duesing, Amy Lockhart, Yoshi Sodeoka, Billy Grant, Michael Bell-Smith, Ola Vasiljeva, Jacob Ciocci, Andrew Benson, Jeff Kriksciun, Chad VanGaalen, Philippe Blanchard, E*Rock, Luke Painter, Brandon Blommaert, Stu Hughes, Devin Flynn, Michael Robinson, Sabrina Ratté, Ben Coonley, and Brenna Murphy and others. Taking inspiration from Andrei Tarkovsky’s Stalker, particularly from the idea of “the Zone” as a site where desires are realized and anything is possible, each artist created a thirty-second animated video. These new works are integrated into a performance involving hand-knit costumes, a hacked Kinect camera, laser beams and interactive cartoons, together unfolding as ninety minutes of live television from a dystopian future.
