Pleasure Dome is pleased to present the premiere screening of the new long-form work The Unlucky Sailor (9 Unread Chapters of Finnegans Wake) by Kingston-based media artist Gary Kibbins. The Unlucky Sailor attempts to elaborate on nine chapters from James Joyce’s novel Finnegans Wake, without the benefits or insights that may have come from having actually read them.
Accompanied by 7 Questions About Bicycles: A bicycle is a vehicle consisting of a light frame mounted on two wire-spoked wheels one behind the other and having a seat, handlebars for steering, brakes, and two pedals by which it is driven. This brief description satisfies many, but not all, questions that might emerge concerning its essential nature.
