A co-presentation with Inside Out and LIFT

The newly formed Freeshow Seymour collective – Allyson Mitchell and Christina Zeidler – bring you an evening’s filmcraft extravaganza. Featuring performances, music, and films (including Allyson’s recent works Pink Eyed Pet, Cupcake and Mayo Jar, and the premiere of Christina’s latest film Kill Rd.), and MC’d by local super 8 diarist and performer Roy Mitchell.

Both Christina and Allyson have been working on their own exciting productions since 1994. Just returning from the Big Rock Candy Mountain residency at The Banff Centre, Christina and Allyson have come together to highlight the work they are doing on candy and consumption and to explore their love of film. Christina has many film and video titles in distribution, including Desire, Soulsucker, Keep The Fuckin’ Quarter Lady, Traces and SSSSSSSSSS, which have shown internationally at festivals and on television. She is one half of the euro-electronica-pop-diva sensation INA UNT INA. Allyson is a self-taught filmmaker and animator. Her super 8 animations, including Bon Bon, Candy Kisses and Cupcake, have appeared all over the world. She’s a key player in the fat activist performance group Pretty, Porky and Pissed Off.
